Crispy Crunch

Crispy Crunch

It doesn’t get more Canadian than this.  The Crispy Crunch* candy bar was developed in 1930 at the Cadbury Gladstone Chocolate Factory by our very own colleague Harold Oswin.  Harold always wanted to create a candy bar with peanut butter and so when a chocolate bar contest was announced, Harold submitted his innovation.  Harold won the contest and received a $5.00 prize and the Crispy Crunch brand was born.

Today millions of Canadians enjoy the unique taste sensation of the crystallized peanut layers of Crispy Crunch bars, covered in delicious chocolatey coating.

Too good to share.

Remember the slogan “too good to share”?  Those four little words catapulted Crispy Crunch candy bar from the number eight favourite in 1989 to the number one favourite single candy bar in Canada one year later.  It stands as one of the greatest candy bar success stories in the Canadian confectionery market.
