Clorets* gum is all about breath freshening and we’ve been at it for over 50 years.
When Clorets gum was developed in the 1950’s, it was designed to neutralize stinky breath from things like food, drink and cigarettes by using chlorophyll.
At that time, the Clorets brand became part of a trend often referred to as the ‘chlorophyll craze’ by Life Magazine. The magazine once published an article featuring a scientist giving a skunk a chlorophyll tablet! While this was all a publicity gag, chlorophyll was popping up all over the market and we were part of the revolution.
Today Clorets gum is still made using chlorophyll and that’s why it can fight those bad breath odors we never want to be caught with.
