Where do we begin? Well first off, we bet you didn't know that we are home to some of the best chocolate, candy and gum brands in Canada - including Cadbury chocolate, Trident* and Stride* gum and Maynards* candy. That's right - we have deep roots in this country which go back over 100 years.
We produced our first chocolate bar in 1905 at the Gladstone factory in downtown Toronto, which is still the place where some of Canada’s most loved snacking bars – including Caramilk*, Mr. Big* and Wunderbar* are made today.
Not only do we make great chocolate - but we've got some of the best minds behind our marketing. The Caramilk* Secret one of Canada's 
greatest pop culture phenomenons, was born right here in Canada, and has been intriguing Canadians for more than 40 years. We're really proud of this little mystery but don't dare ask how we do it because no one is going to tell you how we get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk* bar!
On the sweeter side, many of our candy products – part of the great Maynards* family – are made right in the heart of Hamilton and we take great pride in sweetening the local neighbourhood. And HALLS*, the #1 cough and cold brand in Canada, is also made locallyh at a Toronto facility that is recognized within Cadbury as a centre of excellence.
